Avantasia - Discografia

Avantasia é um projeto musical capitaneado por Tobias Sammet, vocalista e principal compositor da banda de heavy metal alemã Edguy; seu nome é a junção de duas palavras: Avalon (local místico nas histórias do Rei Arthur) e Fantasia (terra fictícia, criada para o filme A História sem Fim). Trata-se da reunião de integrantes de diversas bandas para a gravação de um trabalho envolvendo Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Música Clássica e Ópera. Os 2 primeiros álbuns que constituem o projeto trazem uma Metal Opera com uma história épica que mistura ficção, realidade (alguns personagens realmente existiram), religião e filosofia.

Black Sabbath - Discografia

Black Sabbath é uma banda de heavy metal formada no ano de 1968 em Birmingham, Reino Unido. Sua formação original é composta por Ozzy Osbourne (vocais), Tony Iommi (guitarra), Geezer Butler (baixo) e Bill Ward (bateria). Posteriormente, houve numerosas mudanças na banda, e Iommi era o único componente fixo. Embora às vezes, sejam classificados como uma banda de hard rock (Butler define o estilo uma vez blues pesado e distorcido), Black Sabbath é considerado um dos primeiros grupos de heavy metal da história ao lado de Led Zeppelin, UFO e Deep Purple e também contribuíram muito para o desenvolvimento deste tipo de gênero. E também são pioneiros no estilo doom metal. Originalmente, eles eram chamados de Polka Tulk (com um saxofonista e guitarrista slide no seu line-up) antes de mudar o nome da banda para Earth, um nome mudou novamente por causa da confusão com outra banda de mesmo nome. Eles também atendiam pelo nome The Earth Blues Company, em seus dias pré-Black Sabbath.

Warlock foi uma banda de heavy metal da Alemanha originária da cidade de Düsseldorf formada em 1982. No final dos anos 80 a vocalista Doro Pesch era a única da banda que fazia parte da formação original. Por esse motivo, a banda continuou mas assumiu o nome da carreira solo de Doro, que é essencialmente uma continuação do Warlock. O repertório da banda Doro inclui vários clássicos do Warlock.

DragonForce - Discografia

DragonForce é uma banda inglesa de extreme power metal que surgiu em 1999, após o fim da banda de Black Metal, o Demoniac. Todos os integrantes, exceto Lindsay Dawson, juntaram-se com ZP Theart e fundaram a banda, com o nome DragonHeart. Dois anos depois, eles tiveram de mudar o nome por causa do filme "Dragonheart". Em 2008, foram nomeados ao Prêmio Grammy de "Prêmio Grammy de Best Metal Performance" pela canção "Heroes of Our Time", do álbum Ultra Beatdown.

Formada em 1976, o Running Wild foi uma das mais influentes bandas de heavy metal da Alemanha, ainda sob o nome Granite Heart. A Formação era Rolf Kasparek (também conhecido como Rock 'n' Rolf), Uwe Bendig, Michael Hofmann and Jörg Schwarz. Pouco a pouco foi conseguindo seu espaço no cenário heavy/speed/power, quando passou para Running Wild, em 1979, por serem fãs de Judas Priest. Já contando com Hasche (bateria) e Matthias Kaufmann (baixo), a banda gravou sua primeira demo-tape.
